NAPIGEN, Inc., a company driving cutting-edge genome editing technologies in crop plants, is seeking to fill a full-time scientist position to conduct maize transformation and develop enabling traits by organelle gene editing.

Responsibilities include:

· Reliably perform DNA transformation into maize organelle genomes and regenerate plants from tissue culture cells.

· Design assays and conduct molecular analyses of tissue culture and transformants.

· Frequently communicate with a team of scientists to design and implement experiments.

· Enthusiastically engage in overall scientific discussions.

Experience and Education:

· A Ph.D. in plant biology, genetics, or molecular biology is required with a minimum of two years of postdoctoral research.

· Experience with maize tissue culture and regeneration is required.

· Experience in the latest gene editing methodologies is desirable.

· Knowledge in cytoplasmic genetics is preferable.
