Accelerator Program Intern

The Innovation Space seeks applicants for an exciting and challenging remote, paid internship position to support our Science Inc. virtual accelerator program and other Innovation Space programs. As a part of this role, the Program Intern will support our current initiative to optimize technology systems and operations underpinning our online offerings. The position is between 10 and 15 hours per week via remote/virtual work, and the hourly rate will be commensurate with relevant experience.

CONTEXT OF THE JOB:

Under the direction of the Innovation Space’s Program Manager, the Accelerator Program Intern will support design, communication, and operations for Innovation Space programs. Additionally, the Program Intern will support our current initiative to identify technical solutions to optimize and streamline current program operations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Package and Professionalize Program Materials

Work with the Program Manager and Entrepreneurs-in-Residence to design, develop, and professionalize learning content for the Science Inc. program, including presentation decks, online modules, and video content.

COMMUNICATION AND SCHEDULING:

Work with the Program Manager to coordinate email communication and support scheduling for online events, program meetings, and coaching conversations. The role may also involve helping to develop and manage marketing content.

OTHER PROGRAM OPERATIONS

Work with the Program Manager to plan and manage program systems and operations, utilizing platforms including but not limited video conference tools, Gust, Thinkific, and Hubspot. Support research, design, and implementation for tech optimization initiative.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES:

• An enthusiasm for innovation and interest in the world of startups.

• The ability to operationalize and execute plans independently, with limited guidance.

• Excellent organizational skills with particular attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently or within a team, anticipate issues and needs, and proactively seek resolutions while being resourceful.

• Must have excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Must demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

• Ability to make decisions and exercise discretion, confidentiality, and judgment in keeping with the level of the position.

• Familiarity with business technology is a plus.

• Knowledge/experience in the startup, science, or technology field is not a requirement. This internship offers the opportunity to gain experience across these sectors using learned communication, language, and organizational skills from any background.
