Andrew Sayles

Andrew Sayles is dedicated to transforming the future of food. As Co-Founder and COO of Livestock Labs, he is tackling one of the biggest roadblocks in cultivated meat—access to reliable, high-performance cell lines that enable faster, more efficient, and cost-effective production. His work is helping turn the promise of cultivated meat into reality, making sustainable, ethical, and delicious protein accessible to all.

Before co-founding Livestock Labs, Andrew was part of the early team at Mission Barns, where he helped scale cultivated fat technology from lab discovery to pilot-scale production, forging partnerships with some of the world’s largest food and meat companies. With a background in business development, operations, and strategic partnerships, he has supported scientists and entrepreneurs in bringing transformative ideas to market.

At Livestock Labs, Andrew and his team are empowering the cultivated meat revolution. By providing market-ready cell lines, they’re accelerating an industry that has the potential to feed the world with the most delicious, nutritious, and sustainable meat imaginable—no compromises necessary.

Bryan Barton

President & CEO, AirJoule LLC
An experienced technology and innovation executive with deep expertise in scaling and commercializing new technologies, products and manufacturing processes. He previously served as Senior Director of Marketing at GE Vernova, where he contributed to the ventures
team and helped launch startups powered by GE Research. Before that, he held roles as Global Marketing Director at DuPont and Research Scientist at Dow Chemical Company. With an extensive research background, Bryan authored over 20 scientific publications and
holds 22 patents and patent applications. He holds both a B.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry.

Cora Castle

Cora Castle is the President and Founder of OmniPotential Energy Partners, a Wilmington-based startup revolutionizing urban EV charging with its Curbstar platform. A recognized leader in clean energy and entrepreneurship, she has spearheaded statewide EV legislation and shaped Wilmington’s municipal policy on EV infrastructure. She also serves as the Executive Director of DESCA, supporting STEM startups, and holds leadership roles as Vice Chair of the New Castle County Board of Adjustment and Secretary of the Delaware Sierra Club’s Executive Committee. Cora is a WE Hatch Honor Circle inductee and a recipient of the Blue Hen 17&43 Most Promising award. Through her advocacy, professional work, and volunteer efforts, she works to break down barriers that separate people from opportunity. A native Delawarean and Wilmington resident, Cora has traveled all 50 states. She is a mother to one adult son, three cats, and two ferrets.

Edward Greer

Edward is member of the Scouting & Exploration Network in Dow’s Ventures and Business Development group.
In this role, Edward is responsible for finding and evaluating technologies and opportunities that complement Dow’s robust Research & Development pipeline and have the potential to contribute to the Company’s long-term success. Dow seeks innovations that extract value from the intersection of chemical, physical, and biological sciences to help address many of the world’s most challenging problems such as the need for clean water, clean energy generation and conservation, and increasing agricultural productivity.
Edward joined Rohm & Haas in 1982 as a senior scientist in Analytical Research, where he was promoted to manager prior to moving into Computer Applications research. He then transitioned to Corporate Exploratory research followed by Corporate Development. Edward has extensive experience in research management, market development, and business development for the Electronic Materials and Advanced Materials markets. He has contributed to advancements in ceramics, displays, organic electronics, optical disks, photovoltaics, and microwave devices.

Edward earned a B.S. in Chemistry with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Ph. D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds a Certificate of Professional Development from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Executive Education program. Edward is a judge for numerous business plan competitions and chairs the advisory boards of the Cornell Center for Materials Research and Columbia University’s Carbontech Development Initiative.

Glen Gaddy

Glen Gaddy has experience in technology, advanced materials, real estate, consumer product development and venture funding. He has been an active angel investor since 2003, funding technology, real estate, day care and business services ventures. His prior experience includes heading a research and development laboratory for a leading building materials company, leading real estate services for the world’s largest consulting engineering firm, and running a closely held real estate investment company. He has published in professional journals and has served as the Principal Investigator on over $8M of government research programs. He is an active reviewer of applied research grant applications in both the United States and abroad, an active speaker on startups and early stage funding, and the reviewer of numerous business plans each year. He holds a Ph.D., M.S.E and B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.

Greg Hutchings

Dr. Greg Hutchings is the president and co-founder of Lectrolyst. Prior to co-founding Lectrolyst with its focus on transforming carbon emissions using electrochemical systems, Greg was focused on designing and engineering nanostructured materials with tuned catalytic properties to address the need for both better energy conversion and storage (including hydrogen production, carbon oxide transformation, reactivity on nanostructured alloys, lithium-oxygen batteries, and lithium-ion batteries). Greg obtained his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida (2010), his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware (2015), and completed postdoctoral training at Yale University (2018). He also completed a Postdoctoral Innovation Fellowship through Horn Entrepreneurship at the University of Delaware after returning to co-found Lectrolyst.

Hajime Sakai

Prior to co-founding NAPIGEN in 2016, Hajime Sakai gained extensive experience in agricultural R&D from his eighteen years at DuPont Pioneer. While at DuPont Pioneer, he used diverse genetic and genomic strategies to create robust lead discovery platforms to identify new trait leads for major crop plants such as maize.  That work resulted in numerous granted patents in the US and other countries. Before his industrial engagement, Sakai spent several years at California Institute of Technology researching plant molecular genetics, which led to the discovery of genes that regulate the development of plant reproductive tissues and organs.  Sakai obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Munich, Germany, in the area of yeast mitochondrial genetics.

Jo Norris

Jo Norris is the Co-Founder and CEO of Carbon Reform, a climate tech startup transforming HVAC systems to cut energy costs and improve indoor air quality. A materials engineer, climate scientist, and artist, Jo brings creativity and innovation to solving global challenges. She holds a Master’s in Climate and Society from Columbia University, dual Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Sustainability Studies from Hofstra University, and conducted materials science research at the University of Delaware, focusing on bio-based polymers for pollution mitigation.

Under Jo’s leadership, Carbon Reform has raised over $9 million in funding. Her work has earned her honors such as Forbes 30 Under 30 (2023), Philadelphia Business Journal’s Women of Influence Rising Star (2024), and 40 Under 40 awards in both Philadelphia (2024) and Delaware (2023). As an advocate for accessible climate and health technology, Jo proudly leads Carbon Reform as a woman-led, LGBTQ-owned business. She regularly shares her expertise through thought leadership platforms like the Shiftmakers film series and has been featured in outlets like The Philadelphia Citizen, USGBC, and My Climate Journey. A lifelong artist, Jo integrates art and science into her leadership approach, driving purposeful innovation to create lasting impact.

Noah Olson

Noah Olson is the Director of Innovation at Delaware Prosperity Partnership (DPP), a public-private partnership leading efforts to attract, support, and retain businesses in the First State. Noah is a near-lifelong Delawarean with professional experience in the public and private sector. In his role at the DPP, Noah leads efforts to both sell Delaware as a great location for innovative businesses to grow and create jobs, as well as supporting the home-grown startup ecosystem, which continues to produce exciting companies. He considers himself lucky to be able to look forward to going to work every day, and enjoys the opportunities to represent Delaware, his home and a place he loves, as his profession. Noah is a two-time Blue Hen, and lives in Pike Creek with his wife, two kids, and a dog.

Scott Collick

Scott leads the DuPont Sustainability Team, which includes Community Impact and Corporate Product Stewardship & Regulatory. He chairs DuPont’s cross-functional Sustainability Leadership Council and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on DuPont’s 2030 Sustainability Goals. Scott brings a strong 35-year track record of delivering product, process innovation and sustainability initiatives to market. Prior to this role, he was Vice President of Technology for DuPont’s former Mobility & Materials (M&M) business where he led research, development, technical service, and product stewardship. Scott joined Dow in 1989 holding several key positions in research and development and moved to DuPont during the merge and spin.  During his time at Dow in a wide variety of roles (R&D, TS&D, Marketing, Engineering), he served as collaborative partner and leader driving several initiatives most notably in Dow’s Packaging & Specialty Plastics business.

Tyrone Jones

Tyrone joined Bloom Energy in January 2021, leading government, corporate, and public affairs strategies in Delaware and California. He empowers businesses and communities to take charge of their energy, choosing options that are better, cleaner, more resilient, and more predictable. Tyrone’s role involves over 30 years of experience that includes a wide range of activities, including policy advocacy, government relations, community and economic development, and public affairs. He has a clear focus on advancing clean energy technology that drives sustainable solutions, contributes to economic growth and job creation, creates fair and inclusive opportunities for all communities, and helps communities and businesses adapt to and mitigate environmental impacts.

William D. Provine, Ph.D.

President & CEO

Bill is the founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of the Innovation Space in addition to a member of its Board of Directors. In this role, Bill oversees all operations and is responsible for its overall performance. Prior to joining the Innovation Space, Bill worked for DuPont where he led global operations for science and engineering encompassing DuPont’s open innovation practice that included oversight for DuPont’s innovation centers and regional laboratories around the world. He also has served in a variety of research, marketing, business development, joint venture, and manufacturing leadership roles in DuPont over the last 30 years. Bill is very active in cultivating and advancing science across sectors and has served on numerous private company, university, industrial, governmental, and scientific association advisory and management boards and committees. He currently serves on the board of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) supporting scientific research and advocacy; the Resolution Project, supporting social entrepreneurship; and the National Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship with US Department of Commerce, supporting creation of a national entrepreneurship strategy.
